Faith-filled week for the whole family In spite of it being winter and lots of snow, it’s not long before summer is upon us. Make plans now to come to Uppsala this summer! From 25th July to 1st August, it’s time again for Word of Life’s annual Europe Conference, which usually draws between 10-12,000 people from the whole world. Several exciting speakers will be participating.
Back on Indian soil It’s been almost ten years since Birgitta Ekman, founder of the IndianChildren fund, was able to make a proper visit to India, the country where she was born.
Her love for this land, its people and culture, however, has never waned. At the end of 2009 she was finally able to return and had the opportunity of seeing the work of IndianChildren close up.
Adventure in Mongolia In the end of February, several teams from the Bible School’s 2nd Year are going out on the mission field. For five of the students – filled with expectation – there awaits a trip to Siberia and Mongolia, and a meeting with people and cultures totally foreign to their own.
A bright future for the Gospel in India The church in India is as old as Christianity, itself and has spread from sunny Kerala in the south to all the other provinces. Today there are more churches being planted than ever before in history. The Gospel has a bright future in India, say many national leaders.
The arms of Jesus reaching out Word of Life has been involved in social work and outreach to Uppsala (Sweden) for many years and in many different ways. Every day church members are meeting the various needs of those around them and help is being extended through the contacts that have been created through Street Mission, Lördagskul (Saturday Funtime) and help for the homeless.  The Conditions of Life 2009-12-16 Life can be tough sometimes. An effective recipe for failing in life is to focus on yourself. Nothing is more certain than disappointment. Messages are coming at us from all directions today, challenging us to be self-reliant, empowered, to put together our life-puzzle, and so on.
 A Word From the Lord Ulf Ekman believes next year’s Israel Tour will be essential and historic. God has spoken about the year 2010 as a year when it will be even more important to show support for Israel. Therefore, Word of Life is hoping to bring 2,000 people from all over the world on the tour.
The Nature of the Church A few years ago, I got a longing to seriously begin to study the nature of the Church. The words, “Get to know the nature of the Church”, came to me in a surprising and strange way, in fact. This wasn’t the kind of expression I used every day. I realised it was a word from the Spirit, but I didn’t exactly know how I’d go about doing it. Until then I’d been fully occupied with what the church, the Body of Christ, did, produced, undertook (her activities), rather than what she actually was in her innermost self.
