Medical Team to Haiti Early on Tuesday morning, 19th January, a medical team sent by Word of Life will set out for Haiti, recently devastated by a massive earthquake, and whose people are now suffering the catastrophic consequences of the disaster. Their objective is to assist with minor operations, care for the injured and administer antibiotics and pain-killers.
Aid to disaster-struck Haiti A couple of days ago, the Republic of Haiti was rocked by an earthquake measuring more than 7.0 on the Richter scale – the worst to hit the region for 200 years. The destruction has been enormous, and poverty-stricken Haiti is in great distress.
A message for 2010 The New Years Festival ”NioTio” is over and we are now embarking on a new decade. During the midnight service pastor Ulf Ekman delivered an important and inspiring message for the new year.
New hope through education "Now I don’t need to be worried about her anymore! I have one burden less to bear now that she has been given the chance to go to school”, Nonita’s grandfather says with tear-filled eyes. Nonita is one of the 200 children in our sponsorship program in Kolkata. Without her sponsor she wouldn’t have had the opportunity to go to school.

 The Conditions of Life 2009-12-16 Life can be tough sometimes. An effective recipe for failing in life is to focus on yourself. Nothing is more certain than disappointment. Messages are coming at us from all directions today, challenging us to be self-reliant, empowered, to put together our life-puzzle, and so on.
The Nature of the Church A few years ago, I got a longing to seriously begin to study the nature of the Church. The words, “Get to know the nature of the Church”, came to me in a surprising and strange way, in fact. This wasn’t the kind of expression I used every day. I realised it was a word from the Spirit, but I didn’t exactly know how I’d go about doing it. Until then I’d been fully occupied with what the church, the Body of Christ, did, produced, undertook (her activities), rather than what she actually was in her innermost self.
