  Ulf Ekman believes that this year’s Israel Tour will be an important, historical event. God has been speaking about it becoming particularly significant to show our solidarity with Israel during 2010. For this reason, Word of Life aims to bring 2,000 travellers from all over the world along on this Tour.
“This is the year when you should make it a priority to come to Israel, whether or not you’ve been there before”, says Ulf.
“When we were in Israel last summer I had a strong sense of the Lord urging me to organise the biggest tour ever, this year. The goal is 2,000 people”, he adds. Since more than 20 years back, he has had a strong commitment to Israel. The Ekman couple were actually stationed in Jerusalem for three years and Ulf is know by many as a friend of the Jewish people.
“I believe these are very serious and significant times from a prophetic perspective. We don’t know all the details of this. But I’m convinced that this tour will be enormously important – for the travellers, of course, but also for Israel”, he says.
Israel is a miracle and the Jews a living testimony of God’s faithfulness, His promises and His ongoing plan of salvation. Ulf says that this must be the basis for our understanding of the conflicts over Israel.
“That the nation, Israel was resurrected 62 years ago is a sign and a wonder. As Christians we have a special responsibility, and I would emphasise that it’s a privilege to stand with Israel at this time, watching God’s plan for their restoration being fulfilled”, he says.
In the media and in the political arena, Israel is a never-ending subject. This small nation catches everyone’s interest.
“Unfortunately, much of the attention is negative, but you cannot understand Israel unless you know something of her history, and understand her calling as a nation. Visiting the land and meeting the people is an excellent way of gaining a deeper understanding”, Ulf continues.
“We intend to make the 2010 Tour a great manifestation and hope that many feel as we do, that this is really important right now!”
Israel is the place to which Christians have been drawn for centuries – yes, for almost 2,000 years, in fact.
Here, the Bible comes alive and its stories painted in vivid colours. Here, you can experience the presence of the Lord in a way, like nowhere else.
“I know what it has meant to me, personally, to get to see the places where Jesus was born, where He healed the sick and gave His very life for the sake of our salvation”, says Ulf.
“The program for this year’s Tour promises to give us all an unforgettable experience. Even if you’ve visited Israel previously, you’ll get to see things you’ve never seen before and enjoy many new experiences, you’ll learn things you didn’t know before.” | |

“As believers, we have a special connection with Israel and the Jewish people. It was here that God etched the message of salvation in the hearts of men and women in Biblical times. It was here that his message was revealed through God’s dealing with the land and the people He Himself had chosen for His possession.
The Tour also includes a great conference with invited speakers. We’ll get to enjoy an evening concert under an open heaven with a number of anointed artists and have the opportunity of meeting some of the leaders of the local churches. We’ll also have as our guest one of Israel’s top politicians who’s been invited to give our group some up-to-date “inside information” concerning Israel.
“We believe this tour is of enormous importance against the backdrop of the increasing wave of anti-Semitism and hostility against Israel that is spreading all around the world. Our large group is going to be noticed and appreciated by the people.”
